Switching between Hyper V and VMWare Workstation




If Hyper V and VMWare Workstation are installed on the same physical host. Both the hypervisors will not run.

Hyper V has to be disabled to run VMWare Workstation and Hyper V has to be enabled to run it.

Open command prompt  as Administrator to Disable  Hyper-V run
bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off

reboot the physical box

To Enable Hype V

bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype auto


reboot the physicalbox
